Who We Are

Y&N is a multi-faceted hospitality consulting group with over 60 combined years of operating, creating, leading, and founding concepts in the Washington DC area. Our team has spent years providing top level service to discerning guests in many facets of hospitality. Our experience provides a multitude of knowledge and resources for restaurants, bars, and food and wine retail, companies looking to begin their journey, refresh their concept, rebrand, or streamline their business for efficient operations and higher profit.

John Manolatos

The invaluable apprenticeship next to James Beard award winner Ann Cashion at Cashion’s Eat Place was the education and foundation that developed and mastered his eclectic style based on both European and Southern American cuisines, including the love of local ingredients and whole animal cooking.
     After an eleven-year tenure as Sous Chef, Manolatos purchased Cashion’s Eat Place in 2007. Cashion’s enjoyed acclaim for many years as a popular Adams Morgan neighborhood fixture with an ever changing menu based on inspiration from his long standing relationships with local food purveyors.
     In addition, he opened A.M. Wine Shoppe (2010), a retail wine store and deli in Adams Morgan, as well as Pop’s SeaBar (2014), a beloved neighborhood boardwalk bar and restaurant.

Timothy Clune

My career path and professional interests are wine, food & beverage and education, working with people and Restaurant Management. I have enjoyed teaching and mentoring, as well as Customer Service for the last 20 years. In my spare time, I can be found working outdoors in my garden, studying, and cooking.
